We Are a Work in Progress

I have written quite a little bit about the growth of my sunflowers some weeks ago and I'd like to expound them on a wider space - here.

It's funny how some eyes may roll in sarcasm, nor in disgust right now but believe me when I say, there's quite a lot of realizations you may pick on things, on people, on plants, and so much more by just looking at them.

But YES.

We are all a work in progress. It takes so much patience and hard work until you reap what you sow.
And even when you reach that peak of growth you’ve been aiming for, there’d still be challenges along the way. The beauty in all of the hustle and bustle is the strength you gain, the knowledge that you get as you journey toward the consistency of your growth.

We all won’t settle for just one blooming flower. Of course we’d want to see more. There’s just so much to go through though.

Like the sunflower, I planted the seeds after drying them enough under the sun. There were quite a few of them but only 3 survived. I couldn’t just leave it on the soil and wait until it blooms. I had to make sure it was getting enough nutrients - the sun, water, fertilizer… There’d be days that the sunflower needed more water. We can’t just settle with the fact that we’ve already gotten results - one beautiful flower. Consistency in taking care of that growth is important.

Mine here isn’t even in full bloom yet. Its leaves were actually sad when I took the photo this afternoon as it was too hot today. An hour after I watered, them greens were all beaming once again. 😉

But anyway....

With our personal growth, it is never enough to just dream of becoming anyone or achieving anything. There’s just so much to do. It’s not being greedy. It’s being consistent on the commitment that you’ve made when you planted the seed. Let it continue to grow, let it live, let it thrive.

Growth requires so much patience and consistency. Let’s make the right choices if we want to continue seeing progress. 😉
